Issues of management, economics, and business have become a hot topic to be discussed and deliberated in this ever changing business world. Therefore, we need a vehicle to accommodate such issues.  Based on this background, JAMEB was established to be a forum for discussion of high impact research covering multiple areas in economics, business, and social sciences. This journal is open for academicians, case writers, practitioners, independent researchers, and other stakeholders. The journal covers a wide range of areas in business, social and behavioral sciences. It considers articles written in all areas of business, arts, humanities, behavioral sciences in emerging economies including but not limited to management sciences, psychology, sociology, media studies, linguistics, literature, history. The journal also covers entrepreneurship, marketing, strategic management, organizational behavior, international business, and ethics.

PUBLICATION ETHICS

Jurnal Aplikasi Manajemen, Ekonomi dan Bisnis is a forum to accommodate sources of information. This journal seeks to publish research results on phenomena or issues developing in terms of human resource practices, economics, business, and other entrepreneurial practices. Each party who plays a vital role in publishing this journal has duties and responsibilities in carrying out their respective roles. In other words, all parties involved in publishing this journal must uphold the ethics of publication.

Duties for Authors

Reporting Standards: The author must submit an original research report and must be able to account for the results of the research he has made. The results of the research carried out must be objective, honest, and not manipulate research data. An article published in this journal should be completed in detail and complete sources to be a reference for further research. Unaccountable statements are unethical and unacceptable behavior.  Authors have to follow the journal submission guidelines that have been set by the Jurnal Aplikasi Manajemen, Ekonomi dan Bisnis.

Originality and Plagiarism: The author must ensure that the submitted manuscript is original and has no plagiarism element. Manuscripts submitted cannot be resubmitted to other journals before getting a decision from the editorial team. Original sentences taken directly from other articles must be quoted in quotation marks so that plagiarism is not detected in this article.

Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publications: The author cannot submit the same manuscript to other journals. The author is not permitted to publish the manuscript in another journal. Posting the same article in more than one journal is unethical and unacceptable behavior.

Acknowledgment of Sources: Authors are required to cite sources from previous researchers when using the opinion of that researcher.   Authors must always give admission to work done by others.

Authorship of the Paper: Research made should genuinely reflect the contributions that affect the work and reporting. Parties involved in the process of writing the manuscript must be acknowledged and registered as co-authors. The author must ensure that the parties involved in writing this manuscript have approved the entire contents of the manuscript submitted to the Jurnal Aplikasi Manajemen, Ekonomi dan Bisnis.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: All authors must disclose in their manuscript any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that may be construed to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All financial support sources for the project must be disclosed.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works: Authors must notify the journal editor if inaccurate statements are found in the submitted manuscript. Then publishers and editors can return the manuscript to the writing team for revision.

Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects: if the author involves hazardous chemicals, procedures, or equipment, then the author must be aware of, be able to identify and overcome all possibilities that occur.

Duties of Editor

Publication Decisions: The editorial board reserves the right to accept or reject the submitted manuscript. The editorial board also reserves the right to request authors to modify the manuscript. The editors may be directed by the editorial board of the Jurnal Aplikasi Manajemen, Ekonomi dan Bisnis. The policy of the editorial board is limited by applicable laws such as copyright infringement, defamation, and the practice of plagiarism. The editors can discuss with the editorial team to make a publication decision. The editor is responsible for publishing articles in the Jurnal Aplikasi Manajemen, Ekonomi dan Bisnis. Therefore, editors must follow all established procedures and policies to maintain the quality of published manuscripts.

Review of Manuscripts: Editors should ensure that all published manuscripts are new and have significant contributions. Editors must manage the peer review process objectively and wisely. Papers to be reviewed must be carried out by a peer review team who is an expert in their field. Editors may not disclose the identity of the peer review team to avoid conflicts of interest. The editor is also obliged to notify the authors of the peer review results to be re-evaluated and modified.

Fair Play: Editors must be objective and fair in making publication decisions regardless of the author's status, including religion, gender or nationality. This is to maintain the objectivity, independence, and integrity of the editorial board.

Confidentiality: Editors must ensure that the confidentiality of the author's manuscript is prioritized. And the editor must be sensitive to any incident that may interfere with the confidentiality of the author.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Editors are not allowed to use the author's manuscript for personal purposes without the author's consent. And editors must not engage in the conflicts of interest that may occur in the publishing process.

 

Duties of Reviewers

Confidentiality: reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the information contained in the manuscript. Reviewers are not allowed to discuss accepted manuscripts with others unless the editor permits.

Acknowledgment of Sources: Reviewers must ensure that the data source used in the research have been acknowledged by the authors. Reviewers should be able to identify the work of other researchers that has not been cited in the author's manuscript. The reviewer must notify the author if data irregularities and anything that can interfere with work ethics is found. Be aware of the substantial similarities between manuscripts and concurrent submissions to other journals or published articles. The reviewer must also be able to identify possible violations related to the source of the manuscript, both during the research and submission of the manuscript.

Standards of Objectivity: the reviewer must carry out his duties objectively, and the reviewer must be able to understand the author's views accompanied by supporting documents. Reviewers should perform their duties according to the journal's instructions unless there is a reasonable explanation. The reviewers must review the submitted articles constructively so that the published manuscripts are of high quality.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest: The author should maintain the confidentiality of all information and ideas obtained by peer reviews to avoid personal gain. Reviewers may not consider manuscripts that have a conflict of interest. This conflict of interest results from a competitive, collaborative, or other relationship or connection with the author, company, or institution to which the paper is related. The reviewer must notify the journal editor if there is any suspicion about the identity of the author to avoid a potential conflict of interest.

Promptness: reviewers must provide feedback according to a predetermined schedule. Reviewers must ensure that they can review under the agreement made. If the reviewer cannot complete the task according to the schedule, then the reviewer must confirm it back to the editor team to send the manuscript to other reviewers.

Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts must be submitted via online, with the following steps:

  1. Online paper submited in the portal E-Journal of Jurnal Ilmiah Mahasiswa, link: http://www.ojs.stimlasharanjaya.ac.id/JIMS/register
  2. Select Menu REGISTER on the homepage, author registering as a Writer (Checking role as Author) at the address: http:// ojs.stimlasharanjaya.ac.id/JIMS/register
  3. Once Writer login as Author, click on "New Submission". Stages submit an article consists of five stages, namely: (1). Start, (2). Upload Submission, (3). Enter Metadata, (4). Upload Supplementary Files, (5). Confirmation
  4. Start section, select the Journal Section (Full Article), check all the options
  5. In the Upload Submission, please upload the manuscript file in MS Word (doc) article in this section
  6. In the Enter Metadata, data enter all Writers and their affiliates, followed by the title and abstract, and indexing keywords.
  7. Upload Supplementary Files in part, is allowed to upload files data to support or cover letter or another document.
  8. On the Confirmation, please click "Finish Submission" if all the information is correct.
