Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of job satisfaction on employee performance at the Takalar Office of Personnel and Human Resources Development. The motivation for this study stems from indications of a lack of job satisfaction potentially affecting work outcomes at the office. The methodology employed is quantitative analysis, utilizing SPSS version 23. The data analysis technique applied is simple linear regression to test whether job satisfaction significantly influences employee performance. The study involved 135 respondents as its sample. The results show a positive and significant impact of job satisfaction on employee performance, with a significance value of 0.003. The coefficient of determination (R2) was found to be 0.546, indicating that job satisfaction explains about 54.6% of the variance in employee performance, while the rest is influenced by other factors. These findings have important implications for efforts to improve employee performance, especially at the Takalar Office of Personnel and Human Resources Development.
